We live in a world that is in dire need of leaders who can bring positive change. You may be thinking that there is not much you can do to make this happen, but there is something you can do. You can become a leader.
The best leader is someone who is driven to make change. A leader needs to be educated in what he or she wants to change, as well as what will happen and who or what will be affected once the changes are made and while the changes are in the process of being made. A leader must be willing to put great effort and time into working toward the change he or she wants to see. A leader is someone who will encourage others to work toward change. Most importantly, a leader must be kind and care for everyone.
Why should you specifically become a leader? You should become a leader because, as a Christ-follower, you have been called to be a world leader. As a Christian, you have been called to lead others to God, to show love and kindness to everyone. You must shine the light of God onto the world and lead people to God.
You may be wondering how you can be this type of person, how you can be a leader. It is actually quite simple. According to Luke 9:23, “Then he said to them all, ‘Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow me.’”
To be a leader, you must follow Jesus Christ. What would Jesus do to lead toward change in this world? To start, Jesus would serve those in need. He would fight for justice. Jesus would love and accept everyone — even those who have different beliefs and come from different cultures.
Our world needs Christ-followers to be world leaders who will make a great change and lead people to God. The change starts with you. Take up your cross, follow Jesus, and lead the world to God.
